Joined the group in May 2026, after a PhD in the Quantum Optics Theory group at ICFO under the supervision of Professor Maciej Lewenstein.

Born in Pontedera, Italy, he studied Physics at the University of Pisa, spending time as a visiting student at SISSA, Trieste, and completing his Master’s internship at Université Paris-Sud working on detection protocols for Majorana quasi-particles in cold atoms systems.

His PhD focused on topological signatures in strongly correlated systems, with work on quasi-hole detection schemes in Fractional Quantum Hall Effect systems and the dynamics of topological superconductors under electromagnetic fields.

He works on the interplay between topology and strong correlations, bringing his expertise in Topological Quantum Computing to the group’s efforts on variational and computational methods for quantum matter.
